This is ThroneMedia, LLC's Privacy Policy for starting5.app. This document explains ThroneMedia, LLC's policies for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information on starting5.app. This privacy policy deals with personally-identifiable information (referred to as "data" below) that may be collected by this site.
What we collect
Starting 5 collects the minimum information needed to deliver a daily puzzle game. When you create an account, we store your email address and a display name. As you play, we save your puzzle results and streaks so they sync across devices.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to operate the game — saving streaks, displaying past results, and ranking you on the leaderboard. We do not sell your data, and we do not give advertisers your account information. We may send transactional emails related to your account (sign-up confirmation, password resets). If you opt in, we'll also send the optional emails you choose — a daily puzzle reminder, a weekly recap, or product updates. These are off by default, you pick which (if any) you want, and every one includes a one-tap unsubscribe.
Third parties
We use Supabase to store account data and Resend to send transactional emails. If you sign in with Google, Google handles authentication and shares your email and name with us. We use Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregate usage stats — it sets no cookies and collects no personal or cross-site data.
Advertising
Starting 5 shows ads served by Freestar and its advertising partners. Those partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser to deliver and measure ads, and where you have consented, to personalize them. We do not hand your account data to ad partners. You can read Freestar's policy at freestar.com/privacy-policy and manage interest-based advertising choices at optout.aboutads.info.
Your data, your choice
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing playstarting5@gmail.com. Deletion requests are processed manually and typically completed within 30 days.
