How to Play

The Game

Each day, guess the 5 starting players (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) of a historic NBA team. You have up to 5 attempts per position to find the right player.

Scoring

• 1st guess correct: 200 points
• 2nd guess correct: 150 points
• 3rd guess correct: 100 points
• 4th guess correct: 50 points
• 5th guess correct: 25 points
• Wrong on all 5: 0 points

Max score per puzzle: 1000 (perfect game = all 5 positions on first try).

Hints

You get 5 guesses per position. After each wrong guess, more is revealed — the first name unlocks letter by letter, while the last name only ever shows its first letter (you always finish the last name yourself). Using Kyrie Irving as the example:

• Round 1: position only
• Round 2: jersey number, age, height
• Round 3: first name length + last name first letter — _ _ _ _ _ / I _ _ _ _ _
• Round 4: first name first letter added — K _ _ _ _ / I _ _ _ _ _
• Round 5: full first name, last name stays at first letter — K Y R I E / I _ _ _ _ _

The Twist

Every puzzle has a “trick” player — the starter fans tend to forget. Look closely at the bio (revealed between guesses) for clues.

Play every day to build a streak. Skip a day and your streak resets.
